The LC-SC multimode duplex patch cord (MCP series) connects SC-interfaced transceivers, media converters and legacy switches to modern LC patch panels over OM3/OM4 laser-optimized fiber — the standard media for 1G/10G short-reach enterprise and data center links.

Duplex construction keeps transmit and receive paired and polarity-managed, while ruggedized jacket options protect runs through congested pathways. Insertion loss is held to ≤0.3 dB per connector with ≥30 dB multimode return loss.

Like the whole FOT jumper line it is 100% factory tested to IEC / TIA-EIA / Telcordia and fully customizable in length, jacket, diameter and connector pairing.

Which multimode fiber grade should I choose — OM3 or OM4?

Both are laser-optimized 50/125µm fibers. OM3 supports 10G to 300 m; OM4 extends that to 400 m (and 100 m+ for 40/100G parallel optics). Choose OM4 for longer runs or headroom on future upgrades.

What is the difference between UPC and APC polish?

UPC connectors have a domed end-face giving return loss ≥50 dB — ideal for most Ethernet and data links. APC connectors are polished at an 8° angle for ≥60 dB return loss, preferred for PON/CATV, RF-over-fiber and other reflection-sensitive systems.

Are the patch cords tested before shipment?

Every assembly undergoes 100% optical inspection plus insertion- and return-loss testing to IEC, TIA/EIA and Telcordia standards. Test reports are available on request.

Can length, color, jacket and connectors be customized?
