The SC/UPC pigtail brings factory-grade termination to field splicing: one precision-polished SC connector on 0.9 mm tight-buffered fiber, fusion-spliced to backbone cable inside closures, ODFs and FTTH terminals for consistently low-loss connections that field polishing can't match.

Single fibers or 12-color TIA-598 sets speed up mass termination of distribution cables; G.657A1 bend-insensitive fiber is standard for tray routing. APC versions serve PON and RF-video networks.

Each pigtail is interferometer-checked and loss-tested before shipping; lengths from 0.5 m to custom, with LSZH buffer options for plenum spaces.

Why splice pigtails instead of field-polishing connectors?

A fusion splice to a factory-polished pigtail adds only ~0.02 dB and is far more repeatable than any field-polish or mechanical connector — that's why carrier and data-center standards specify pigtail splicing for permanent links.

What is the difference between UPC and APC polish?

UPC connectors have a domed end-face giving return loss ≥50 dB — ideal for most Ethernet and data links. APC connectors are polished at an 8° angle for ≥60 dB return loss, preferred for PON/CATV, RF-over-fiber and other reflection-sensitive systems.

Are the patch cords tested before shipment?

Every assembly undergoes 100% optical inspection plus insertion- and return-loss testing to IEC, TIA/EIA and Telcordia standards. Test reports are available on request.

Can length, color, jacket and connectors be customized?
